Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Dispatcher.
As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation activities and ensuring the efficient movement of goods.
You will be responsible for managing the fleet, planning transportation routes, and analyzing data to optimize operations.
Duties - Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including assigning drivers and vehicles to routes - Monitor and track the progress of shipments to ensure on-time delivery - Communicate with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on delivery status - Analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency - Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) - Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently Requirements - Previous experience in dispatching or a related field is preferred - Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments simultaneously - Knowledge of fleet management principles and practices - Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders - Proficient in data entry with a high level of accuracy - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Join our team as a Dispatcher and contribute to the smooth operation of our transportation activities.
